Design your own inspiring female character competition

Central characters of stories can be a great source of inspiration to children, yet studies show that children’s books are dominated by male central characters.

We are challenging pupils to get creative and design your own inspiring female character. Draw and describe your character on a sheet of A4 paper and submit below.

The competition is open to school age children and your female story character could be a person, an animal or even an everyday object!

The deadline to enter is Monday 30 September 2024.
