The mountains of Alpe d’Huez in France provided a week of superb skiing for St Mary’s students at the start of the Christmas holidays.
35 Senior girls took lessons from French ski instructors for five hours each day and although the snow wasn’t plentiful there was enough, and it was a delight to see how the beginners progressed from wobbly to competent in the space of just a few days. In the evenings the girls enjoyed sledging and ice-skating. The staff were delighted to receive many compliments about the behaviour, poise and confidence of the girls.
