St Mary’s Riding Team wins both classes entered at NSEA Inter Schools Show Jumping

Riders from St Mary’s jumped to victory at the NSEA Inter Schools Show Jumping competition, held at Wix Equestrian Centre on 4 March.

The team – Adelle (Year 8) riding ‘Deep Blue Sea’, Alexa (Year 9) riding ‘Rosie’ and Molly (Year 9) riding ‘Daffy’ – entered the 70cm and 80cm show jumping classes and were thrilled to win both of them.

In the 70cm class, the St Mary’s team achieved three excellent clear rounds, finishing on a zero score. A fast time meant that the team won the class with Molly also gaining an individual fifth place.

In the 80cm, the team again finished on a zero score with a very fast time placing St Mary’s first again. Alexa also achieved a second place individually with a very speedy time on ‘Rosie’ and Molly gained another fifth place individually.

The girls were very supportive of each other and a great day was had by all. We are looking forward to St Mary’s Riding Team members competing at the NSEA hunter trial at Poplar Park on 19 March and NSEA Arena Eventing at Codham Park on 6 April.
