Tuesday 11 October – Year 10 Netball v The Gilberd School
Our Year 10 girls took part in a netball tournament at the Gilberd on Tuesday 11 October. They lost the first game but won the next two games in our pool securing us a place in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, they lost in the semi-finals but still a fantastic achievement considering this was an U16 tournament and all the Year 11 netballers were on a school trip unable to participate. Well done girls.

Sports Leaders at Primary School football tournament
Yesterday, we went to Shrub End to referee Year 5-6 girl’s football. It was a great opportunity. It was a great opportunity to show off our coaching skills and also learn new ways of coaching too. It was most of our first-time refereeing football so we were all very excited. We all thoroughly enjoyed the morning and would love to do it again.

Year 9 Netball v Paxman Academy
On Wednesday 12th October the Year 9 netball team pulled through to a 32-2 victory against Paxman Academy, everyone played very well. Our transition from defence to attack was superb and we all worked really well as a team. Isla’s spinning shot just sealed the deal for St Mary’s and has continued the Year 9’s undefeated match streak. Also, big well done to Maya who was our player of the match! Overall, it was a stunning performance and hopefully there will be many more!
