Thank you for supporting our Future Females Careers Fair at St Mary’s Senior School on Saturday 7 March. Please see below for FAQs with  key event information, which we hope you will find useful. Please also complete and submit the below form to indicate any requirements needed on the day.

FAQs about Future Females Careers Fair

Location

  • St Mary’s Senior School, Lexden Road, CO3 3RB
  • Parking available on site for exhibitors

visitors

  • Event aimed at girls in Year 4 (age 8) and above and their families
  • Please note that the Senior School Open Day is taking place before the careers fair, 9.30-11.30am. Open Day visitors will have had the opportunity to take part in careers-based activities, led by St Mary’s staff, to give girls an insight into particular jobs

FORMAT FOR the day

  • Event advertised 11.30am-1pm
  • Site is open from 10.30am for stands to begin setting up – please be ready for 11.15am as visitors will start arriving around this time
  • On arrival, please report to Main Hall to sign in
  • Refreshments served for exhibitors from 10.30am in Main Hall
  • Visiting Careers Fair families requested to register arrival from 11.15am
  • Visitors to look around stands and speak to representatives

Stands

  • Stands will be allocated in advance and details shared during the week leading up to the event
  • Stands located in Main Hall and other open areas of the school
  • Classroom size tables will be provided – please let us know on the form below if any additional space is required
  • Limited electrical points are available – please let us know on the form below if required
  • Please let us know if WiFi is required on the form below
  • Please bring any pop-up banner stands, resources, tablecloths, examples of work and equipment you would like to display and share with visitors
  • Table signs can be provided for anyone without branded signage – please let us know if required on the form below

Giveaway bags

  • Bags will be given out to visitors on arrival with St Mary’s promotional items
  • We are anticipating around 100 visitors to the event
  • Copy of programme included (this will also be shared in advance)
  • Programme will contain prompts and example questions for pupils to consider asking, please see below
  • Promotional items or flyers to give out on your stands would be great if possible, which visitors can add to their bags
