Andrew Hampton was a Headteacher for 18 years and was head at Thorpe Hall School in Southend from 2007 to 2021. He is the creator of Girls on Board and author of When Girls Fall Out, Working with Boys and How to Run a School. He was the Chair of ISA in 2014 – 15 and a Director of ISI in 2018 – 19. He is a saxophone player and write several best-selling volumes of music for students. He lives in Leigh-on-Sea and has three children and four grandchildren.
