Mr Samuel Flower - St Mary’s Colchester

Mr Samuel Flower

I may not come from an educational background, other than being a former student (although not of St Mary’s!), but I hope that I am able to effectively contribute to the development and continued excellence of the school during my time as Governor.

My law degree and job as a solicitor means that I understand the complexities and delicate nature of situations in life that my clients face. I believe this will translate well into my role as Governor at St Mary’s, which in turn will further enhance the school’s reputation in the community. I appreciate and understand the emotion of decisions that may or may not need to be made and I can debate both sides of a discussion without being reactive. This often allows constructive decisions to be reached for the benefit of all.

Like most people, I enjoy spending time with friends, family and my dog. I also enjoy travelling, finding new spots to eat out and going to the gym (which is mostly to counteract the eating out!).
