Job Description

St Mary’s is a happy, high achieving independent day school for girls aged 4-16 years with a Kindergarten for children age 2-4 years, a member of  the Girls’ Schools Association, Independent Association of Preparatory Schools and the Independent Schools Association.

The Assistant Head Safeguarding and Well-Being is a key member of the Senior School Management Team, reporting to the Principal. The Assistant Head Safeguarding and Well-Being will be involved with the responsibility for the pastoral provision and promotion of pupil well-being within the Senior School, along with the safeguarding and welfare of pupils across the whole school. The individual will work with the whole school staff , Phase Leads, the Assistant Head (Pupil Development) of the Senior School, the Assistant Head (Pastoral) of the Lower School as well as the Principal and Vice Principal. The individual may be expected to teach a small timetable if so required.
