St Mary’s is proud to be the top feeder school to Colchester County High School for Girls (CCHSG), reflecting the strength of our academic provision and the success of our pupils.
The school’s strong academic outcomes were demonstrated with eight pupils securing places at CCHSG. This achievement confirms St Mary’s position as the school’s largest feeder, underlining the effectiveness of the preparation we provide our Lower School pupils with for selective grammar school entry.
In the most recent SATs, our Year 6 pupils significantly exceeded national averages across all subjects. An impressive 90% achieved the higher standard in Reading, 74% in Mathematics, 58% in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, and 42% in Writing.
Principal Mrs Nicola Griffiths commented: “We are thrilled to celebrate academic success for our pupils. This academic excellence in the 11+ examinations making us the top feeder to Colchester County High School for Girls reflects the strength of our empowering educational provision.”
St Mary’s academic success has also been recognised nationally. The school was ranked 12th highest performing preparatory school in the country in the most recent Sunday Times Parent Power list, highlighting its consistently high standards.
