St Mary’s Lower School is celebrating reaccreditation for the NACE Challenge Award for the third time, alongside a strong set of Key Stage 2 outcomes.
The award recognises high-quality provision for more able learners within a culture of challenge and high expectations for all pupils. It reflects sustained strength in leadership, curriculum and classroom practice.
In the 2025-2026 end of Key Stage 2 SATs results, 57% of St Mary’s pupils achieved the higher standard in reading, 48% in mathematics and 48% in grammar, punctuation and spelling, while 43% achieved greater depth in writing. The corresponding national figures were 33%, 26%, 30% and 13%.
Principal Mr Lee Daniel Faith, and Vice Principal Mrs Emma Stanhope said: “Academic ambition begins in our earliest years. This third NACE Challenge Award recognises the expertise and commitment of our Lower School colleagues and a culture in which every pupil is known, supported and challenged. We are enormously proud of our pupils and deeply grateful to the staff and families who help every girl to flourish.”
